The Pitch
North of Nowhere is a post-apocalyptic comedy featuring sci-fi, western & natural disaster elements. The story follows a young survivor Ruby Thorne after she received an unexpected letter from her father. Spurred by the possibility of his survival, Ruby assembles a disheveled team of dystopian tropes and braves the grim outlands beyond the northmost outpost of remaining human civilization. These lands we never named.
So, we settled on calling it Nowhere.
This 50 minute live-play runs a mini RPG system called S.C.R.E.A.M: The Horror. Auryona Webb -- serving the role as the director and story narrator -- created this production as part of her final Practicum project (another word for a capstone project) in 2024. As an aspiring voice actress herself, she utilized this project to achieve a dream:
Making stories for a living.
The Letter
The first words Ruby Thorne read from her missing father.
These are the words the spurred our story into motion
For better or worse
